Who is eligible: Healthy, right-handed, English-speaking adults between the ages of 18 and 50 years with no history of neurological disorder can take part in this study.
What to expect: Up to 2 sessions scheduled at least 2 days apart lasting up to 2 hours each. In each session participants will undergo tDCS (electrical brain stimulation) while performing behavioral tasks followed by motor skill assessments.
Time commitment: Up to 2 sessions over the course of approximately 1 week. Each session lasts up to 2 hours and sessions will be scheduled at least 2 days apart..
Compensation: Up to $60.
Recruitment status: Enrollment for HD-tDCS is complete! We invite you to read about our other Healthy Research Subject studies, and to complete our pre-screening application if you'd be interested in participating!
What are TMS and tDCS?
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) are both forms of non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS). This process is considered non-invasive because it does not involve placing anything under your skin or inside your body.
